Infants Curriculum Highlights

The infant program provides a loving and nurturing environment for children ages 6 weeks to approximately one year, focusing on each individual baby's needs.

Toddlers Curriculum Highlights & Sample Schedule

The toddler program nurtures children ages 1-2 while encouraging their development through stimulating activities and interactive experiences.

  • Dramatic Play-dress up, mirror play, puppets, dolls, stuffed animals, props, (shopping carts, etc.)
  • Sensory/Art-paint, murals, crayons, sand play, stickers, sponges, shaving cream, chalk, play dough

K-2 Curriculum Highlights & Sample Schedule

  • Oral language/Listening Skills taught through stories, fingerplays, songs, and rhymes
  • Learning Centers for free play and exploration

  • Letters of the alphabet introduced through weekly thematic units that integrate art, music, movement and circle activities

 K-3 Curriculum Highlights & Sample Schedule

  • Children’s Literature-encourage a love of reading and develop emergent reading skills such as correct use of a book, one-to-one correspondence, and ability to track print.
  • Oral Language taught through discussions, questioning, flannel stories, songs, nursery rhymes and finger play
  • Phonics-introduce letter recognition and beginning sounds
  • Shapes-Recognize, trace, and begin drawing-circle, square, triangle, rectangle, star, heart, diamond, oval
  • Color recognition-all primary colors, pastels introduced
  • Foundational Math Skills-counting to 15, making sets to 10, number recognition to 10, patterns (AB, ABC), graphing, and sorting
  • Science-Bi-weekly scientific experiments
  • Fine & Gross Motor Skills- heavily emphasized daily through indoor and outdoor play, as well as direct instruction.
  • Beginning Writing-start with tracing letters and shapes, and work towards writing name independently
  • Social Skills-honed through conflict resolution, sharing, working successfully in groups and independently
  • Creativity encouraged throughout the day
  • Spiritual development through Christian Education, chapel, daily devotions, blessings and Bible stories.

  • The Letter People curriculum-teaches phonics, recognition of upper and lower case letters, and beginning sounds
  • Speaking/Listening Skills honed through classroom discussions, questioning, reading children’s literature, songs, nursery rhymes and finger plays
  • Beginning Writing-Writing first name, working towards writing last name, and learning correct formation of D’Nealian letter
  • Foundational Math Skills-counting to 30, number recognition to 20, calendar skills, patterns, graphing, sequencing, sorting, intro to skip counting, and simple addition using manipulatives
  • Science and Social Studies-weekly lessons integrated with Language Arts
  • Fine Motor Skills heavily emphasized through daily writing, cutting, pasting, building, manipulative play, drawing, and/or painting
