Christine Skelton, Director

Christine was raised in Greenville, SC and attended Christ Church as a young child with her family. She attended Greenville High school and graduated in 1991. Following high school, Christine went on to receive her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a Psychology minor from Presbyterian College in 1995. 

Upon Christine’s college graduation, she began her teaching career in DeKalb County, GA. Here she taught 4K and first grade for seven years in a very diverse multicultural and socioeconomically challenging school in inner city Atlanta. She was awarded the honor of Teacher of the Year for the school where she taught, Indian Creek Elementary School, and then went on to be given the DeKalb County System wide Teacher of the Year award.

During her time teaching in Atlanta, Christine went on to earn her Masters of Education Degree in Early Childhood Education from Mercer University in 2002.

Christine moved back home to Greenville in July of 2002 a few months after the birth of her first child. She began teaching at Westminster Weekday School in 2005 and was a 4K and 5K teacher until she became the Director of the Weekday School in 2012. Christine is married to Brad and has two children, Kate and Thomas, as well as two step-children, Emma and Sloan. Christine is very excited and honored to have been chosen as the Director of Christ Church Episcopal Preschool and looks forward to getting to know all of the children, parents and staff beginning in April. 

 

JoAnn Albertson, Preschool Financial Coordinator

Mrs. Albertson has been working at CCEP for 15 years. She has 18 years of experience teaching young children. She received her Associate's degree in Childhood Development in 2006. She and her husband, Scott, have a daughter Kipp who attends CCEP.

Kathy George, Administrative Assistant

Kathy George began teaching at CCEP since summer 2010, but taught grades 1 through 4 for 21 years. She has her Masters in Elementary Education and Reading from Ball State University. She is teaching Christian Education and serving as a Late Stay teacher in addition to her K3 teaching role.

 

INFANTS
 

Linda Holland, Betty Holland

Ms. Betty has worked at Christ Church for 16 years. She and her late husband, Jim, were a military family, living in many areas across the country before moving back homein 1971. She has two children and three grandchildren.

Ms. Linda is her daughter-in-law. Ms. Linda has been caring for the children at Christ Church for 14 years. She is married, has one daughter and six grandchildren. She and her husband are raising two of their grandsons. She feels fortunate that God has allowed them this special privilege!

 



OLDER INFANTS
 

Kate Koniditsiotis, Karen Bannister

Mrs. Koniditsiotis has been at CCEP for eight years. She has a BA in Vocal Performance from Erskine College. In her free time, Kate and her husband, Stathis, enjoy teaching people about their Greek heritage.

Mrs. Poff began working at CCEP in summer 2010. She graduated from Charleston Southern University with a BS in Social Science. She spent a year and a half teaching elementary school in Michigan before moving home to Greenville. She and husband Dan welcomed their first child, Mac, in April 2012 and their second child, Gus, in August 2013.

Mrs. Bannister began working at CCEP for three years but is so excited to begin her first year in the older infant class. She enjoys shopping and spending time with her family.

Crista Hall,Terry Peck

Mrs. Hall has been working with children for 13 years. She earned her South Carolina Early Childhood credential in 2010. She and her husband, Larry, live in Greenville with their son, Jack.  She is currently working towards a degree in psychology.  She enjoys spending time with her family, painting and sharing her love for art with children. She feels incredibly blessed to be a part of CCEP!


K2
 

Tia Williams, Amanda Todd

This is Ms. Todd's tenth year at CCEP teaching in the K2 class. She has 15 years of experience working with young children. She received an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. Her son is a former CCEP student and he is 10 years old.

Ms. Tia has been working at CCEP for ten years. She graduated from Spartanburg Methodist College with an Associates Degree in Science and Lander University with a BS in Exercise Science and a minor in health care management. Tia loves traveling and spending time with family. Tia also has a love for children and she will be getting married in April 2017!

Abbey Poff, Linda Barbare

Mrs. Poff began working at CCEP in summer 2010. She graduated from Charleston Southern University with a BS in Social Science. She spent a year and a half teaching elementary school in Michigan before moving home to Greenville. She and husband Dan have three boys Mac (4), Gus (3), and Deacon born this past July.

This is Ms. Barbare's 9th year at CCEP, though she's been teaching for 15 years.  She graduated from Greenville Tech with her early childhood education degree. She has a grown son and three precious granddaughters.

 Vanessa Zadel, Lori Hawkins

Mrs. Zadel has been on the staff at CCEP for four years. For the past three years, Mrs. Zadel has taught Spanish to K2 through K5 students. She is a graduate of USC with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Zadel and her husband, Chris, have two boys, ages 5 and 7. They are active parishioners of Christ Church.

Mrs. Hawkins began working at CCEP in January in Late Stay. This is her first year on the permanent staff. Prior to coming to CCEP she was the Christian Education Director for the Church of the Redeemer for four years. She and her husband, Josh, live in Simpsonville with their two children.

 

K3
 

Ann Eubank, Paige Jordan

Mrs. Eubank joined CCEP in 2007 as a substitute teacher and joined the permanent staff in 2008. She is a graduate of Hollins College and the University of South Carolina. Mrs. Eubank and her husband, Craig, have two children and are Christ Church parishioners.

Ms. Jordan has been teaching for sixteen years. She spent seven years teaching K5 in public school and is a lifelong parishioner at Christ Church.

 Amanda Abreu, Lindsay Ridgeway

Mrs. Abreu is in her 15th year at CCEP. She has two children. Amanda attended Clemson University,doing course work in Special Education and Elementary Education.

Mrs. Ridgeway is in her seventh year at CCEP teaching K3. Her degree is in Elementary Education and taught for eight years before coming to CCEP from Texas. She has lived in Greenville for eight years with her husband, Todd, four children and three dogs.

 Lia Mesaric, Katie Broderick

Mrs. Mesaric is proud to be teaching at Christ Church Episcopal Preschool again. She taught both K4 and K5 here for six years. Through her teaching she encourages and inspires a love for the arts as well as fitness and wellness.  She loves to be active as she has three lively boys who she has to keep up with! Lia teaches both a Ballet and Art afterschool class for the Busy Bees program here at Christ Church. She earned a BA in Art with an emphasis in Art Education from the University of South Carolina as well as studied outdoor education at Brevard College.

Mrs. Broderick has a bachelor's degree from Longwood University. She began her affiliation with CCEP in 1991 as a parent. She was hired as a teacher in 1997 and worked until 2009. After several years hiatus to take care of her mom, Katie returned to CCEP to sub and is now excited to be back in the classroom full time. She and her husband, Larry, have two grown daughters.

Andrea Watt, Laura Stewart

Mrs. Stewart has a Bachelor of Arts from Clemson and a Master's in Elementary Education from Furman. She and her husband have two children and are Christ Church parishioners.

This is Mrs. Watt's 10th year at CCEP. Previously, she was the teaching assistant for K5 at St. Mary's Catholic School. Mrs. Watt has 17 years of experience working with children. She and her husband have two children.

 

 

K4
 

 Ginger Kinman, Jen Campbell 

Mrs. Kinman has 30 years of teaching experience, the last 18 of which have been at CCEP. She has a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Clemson University and a master's degree in early childhood education from the University of Georgia. Her daughter is 23 years old and her son is 19 years old and both are CCEP graduates. Mrs. Kinman is a Christ Church parishioner.

Miss Jen has two extremely supportive parents and a twin brother who she considers to be her best friend. She recently graduated from USC with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. This past year, Jen worked late stay and acted as a long term sub in one of the K4 classrooms at CCEP. She has really enjoyed working at CCEP and is looking forward to many more enjoyable moments in the future! In Jen's free time, she njoys spending time outdoors and reading.

 Julie Joy, Deanna Cordell

Julie Joy is in her seventh year of teaching at CCEP.  She graduated from USC Upstate with a BA in Elementary Education and is projected to graduate from Clemson University in the spring with a Master’s degree in Education Administration.  She and her husband, Duncan, have a little boy, Wiley, who is soon to turn one. They are Christ Church parishioners.

Mrs. Cordell has been at CCEP for 19 years. She has been working with children for 28 years. She has two grown children, and one grandson who attends CCES.


EXTENDED STAY STAFF



 

Spanish, Mary Mac Williams

 

This is MaryMac Williams' first year as the CCEP Spanish teacher.  MaryMac is excited to join the CCEP staff and share her love of Spanish with all of the CCEP students.  MaryMac was born and raised in Columbia, SC.  She graduated from Wofford College with a double major in Spanish and psychology.  After graduating from college, MaryMac obtained a critical needs teaching certificate in Spanish and she taught elementary school Spanish in Richland School District Two in Columbia.  After teaching Spanish for 2 years, MaryMac went to graduate school to get her Masters degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology.  She has worked as a pediatric speech-language pathologist for the past 15 years.  MaryMac especially enjoys working with the Hispanic children and families in the community.  MaryMac also brings with her several years of experience teaching preschool Spanish at Kathwood Baptist Church Preschool and Eastminster Presbyterian Day School in Columbia.  MaryMac and her husband have 3 children.  Their family relocated from Columbia, SC to Greenville, SC during the summer of 2015.  MaryMac currently works part-time as a speech-language pathologist for the Greenville Co. School District and she comes to CCEP to teach Spanish on Fridays.  MaryMac and her family are members of Christ Church and her youngest child is a 4K student at CCEP this year.   MaryMac looks forward to a fun and exciting year in Spanish!
